If your stain is in a carpet mattress or heavy furniture that cannot be soaked use a clean cloth or sponge to blot the stain.
For fresh stains treat with cold water first to prevent the blood stain from setting into the carpet fibers.
Avoid hot water as it would make the stain set in and way more difficult to remove blood from a carpet.
If you don t have a spray bottle instead pour on just enough water to wet the carpet.
Gently blot until the liquid is completely absorbed.
Next apply a clean sponge dipped in cold water.
Don t use hot water this could cause the blood to set in the fabric.
Ammonia does a great job at removing blood stains but use it in moderation so you won t discolor the carpet if you use too much.
For stubborn carpet blood stains mix ammonia with warm water and blot the stain.

This is the easiest way to get rid of fresh blood and it works well if you can catch it right away.
Thoroughly cover the blood stain with your baking soda paste and if you can leave it overnight.

Step 1 mix cup of warm water with one tbs of ammonia which you can get in your local hardware store or supermarket.
Hydrogen peroxide can also be used in cases where the blood stain on the carpet is particularly persistent.

Sponge the blood stain with a clean cloth sodden in the detergent solution to get the blood out of your carpet.

Detergent solution if the stain has dried gently go over it with a soft brush to break up the deposit.
Apply enough oxiclean solution to saturate the blood stain but do not oversaturate.
Mix 1 tablespoon of hand dishwashing liquid with 2 cups of cold water.
Rinse the garment under cold water.
Then blot the carpet clean and repeat the procedure if you re still not happy with the results.
